Who is going to be the first to start writing a collaborative story?

Before you start:
What do you need to know about COLLABORATION  in an online setting?

1.       Anyone who participates will be read by everyone else. Once your own personal idea is shared on the site it becomes the property of the group. Anyone in the collaborating  group should be able to  alter/adjust/edit  anything you have written without your feeling hurt or embarrassed. By the same token,  each member of the group has to show RESPECT to other readers and writers and not simply change things to suit his/her own agenda. Any changes should be to improve style/grammar/content.

2.       RESPECT  RESPECT  RESPECT  the ideas and thoughts of others.

3.       Should somebody edit something already written, the original work can still be accessed. This is good as if someone makes a mistake in the editing proves, the work is not lost.

4.       RESPECT the fact that others are going to read what you have written, so don’t write anything silly or offensive. Should this happen, the site will be closed.

Characters:

A tearaway girl  like Kate

Plot

Appropriate .  remember that the reading audience will consist of  students and teachers (and possibly parents)

In The Taming of The Shrew , Petrucchio is not very politically correct in his taming of Kate and his behaviour would not be regarded as acceptable today.

In your story, create a modern situation in which somebody who is not a team player (a typical Kate) comes to realise the value of consideration, courtesy and citizenship.

The first contributor will have to set up the characters and establish the setting (time, place, society). There should be no more than 4 main characters that develop as “round” characters.

Style:

Standard English

Any dialogue must be true to the developing character.
